To Our Loyal Race Fans,
This race season has delivered many extraordinary challenges for us all. We thank you for your continued patience and support that you have granted us over these past few months as we’ve navigated the COVID-19 pandemic. Our entire team continues to work hard to deliver you the most complete 2020 race schedule as possible under the current conditions.
The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio will be a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone this weekend. We ask for you to also do your part in making it a great experience. We are extremely grateful to Governor Mike DeWine’s administration for allowing us the opportunity to host this NTT INDYCAR SERIES doubleheader and open it to a limited number of spectators.
Taking guidance from our local government and health officials, please read some of the important COVID-19 protocols and policies to adhere to this weekend:
- Before coming to Mid-Ohio, please self-check for COVID-19 symptoms prior to joining us at the track each day. If you are sick, please stay home. Please use the CDC’s Self-Checker that can be found here as a helpful tool.
- Masks or facial coverings are required at all times while at the facility, including children (over the age of 2 years old), and also in the camping areas.
- Enter the track at Gate 1. You and your group will be asked health assessment questions and have your temperatures checked while still within your vehicle before being granted entry into the track. Anyone registering a temperature scan over 100.4F will not be allowed to enter the event. Please be patient. Our staff will do their best to keep lines moving and get all fans in safely.
- General admission viewing mound areas will be clearly marked and strictly maintained with painted boxes to accommodate four spectators. The only exception will be families or households with more than four people. The viewing areas will be monitored for social distancing.
- Walkways are marked for direction. Please make sure to follow these markings to assist with social distancing.
- Remember to wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, observe the posted signage throughout the facility, and social distance at all times while on site, moving around, standing in lines, or viewing. Hand sanitizer stations are throughout the facility.
All necessary protocols and policies can be found for your attendance on our website at midohio.com/COVID19. Also, we encourage you to view the “What to expect at The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio” video before arriving.
Two of our long-time, dedicated employees, Mike Morrisey and Adam Fisher serve as our compliance officers for our COVID-19 variance plan approved by local and state officials. If you encounter any COVID-19 related concerns as we work together with you to implement our plan and enjoy the weekend, please reach out to Mike or Adam.
