The NTT INDYCAR SERIES season starts in just five weeks in sunny Florida at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding, but first, starting this afternoon, 10 of your favorite INDYCAR drivers will compete in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, one of the most prestigious sports car races in the world. Here’s a breakdown of all the drivers by competition class:
Grand Touring Prototype (GTP)
Scott Dixon
The six-time series champion rounds out the lineup in the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing machine alongside former INDYCAR driver Sebastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande.
Helio Castroneves & Simon Pagenaud
The Meyer Shank Racing teammates will compete with Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun in the No. 60 Acura.
Colton Herta
The Andretti Autosport pilot will contribute to both the No. 24 and No. 25 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing BMW teams.
Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2)
Josef Newgarden & Scott McLaughlin
The Bus Bros join INDY NXT driver Kyffin Simpson and John Farano in the No. 8 for Tower Motorsport.
Rinus VeeKay
The racing Dutchman teams with Steven Thomas, Scott Huffaker and Mikkel Jensen in the No. 11 for TDS Racing.
Devlin DeFrancesco
The Canadian will be part of No. 51 Rick Ware Racing team along with NASCAR Cup Series driver Austin Cindric, former INDYCAR driver Pietro Fittipaldi and Eric Lux.
GT Daytona Pro (GTD-PRO)
Romain Grosjean
The Swiss-French driver joins Andrea Caldarelli and Mirko Bortolotti in the No. 63 for Iron Lynx.
GT Daytona (GTD)
Kyle Kirkwood
The Florida native will race with Aaron Telitz, Frankie Montecalvo and Parker Thompson in the Vasser Sullivan No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3.
