It’s Florida, so this one is likely a given, but if you’re looking for some shady General Admission areas, head over to Pioneer Park. Grab something to eat on your way and make it a picnic. And don’t forget to bring a hat and non-aerosol sunscreen with you!
Lots of Walking
The festival grounds are wide and spacious, which means that in order to get the whole experience, you’ll be doing a lot of walking. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
Firestone NTT INDYCAR SERIES Paddock / Support Series Paddocks
In order to enjoy the Firestone NTT INDYCAR SERIES paddock next to the Dali Museum, you’ll need to get yourself a Paddock Pass beforehand. Not sure what the paddocks are? We’ve got you. You can read all about it HERE. However, the support series paddocks are free, but you'll need to cross the Vuse Bridge at Turn 2 to get there. Unless, of course, your seats are in Grandstand 10, then it's right next to you.
Running into an NTT INDYCAR SERIES Driver by Accident
One thing that people always brag about when it comes to INDYCAR is the access to the drivers you’ll get at racetracks. The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding is no exception. It’s not uncommon to have a driver walk (or ride on his scooter!) right by you. Please be respectful and observant of their time. It’s okay to ask them to stop, but maybe just wave if they are on their way to the track for practice, qualifying or, of course, the race.
