One of Canada’s leading home and auto insurer joins as a cornerstone stakeholder for the historic 2026 debut of world-class racing in Downtown Markham.
MARKHAM, Ontario (May 20, 2026) – The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham is proud to announce Aviva Canada as a founding partner and the official insurance category sponsor of the event, beginning with the inaugural race in 2026.

Aviva Canada’s sponsorship includes exclusive naming rights to the Aviva IndyCar Paddock. By securing the naming rights to this premium space, Aviva Canada is putting itself and fans at the heart of the behind-the-scenes action. Fans who purchase an Aviva IndyCar Paddock Pass gain an exclusive vantage point to watch the IndyCar drivers and engineers prepare their machines for the demanding street circuit of Markham, a level of proximity to the inner workings of a professional sports team that is often unavailable to fans in other major sports leagues.

In addition to naming the IndyCar paddock, Aviva Canada is:
- enhancing Free Fan Friday on Aug. 14 by offering complimentary grandstand access around the circuit, as available, taking the fan experience to the next level.
- supporting the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham volunteer program—where a team of more than 400 dedicated volunteers will manage nearly every touchpoint of the fan journey and experience, from ticketing, registration to coordination of pre- and post-race ceremonies.
The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham is moving to the growing City of Markham for the first time this August on a multi-year deal. The 12-turn, 3.52-kilometre (2.19-mile) temporary track will be built in the eastern precinct of Markham’s downtown, between Kennedy Road, Enterprise Boulevard, Unionville GO tracks and Highway 407. The Aviva Canada headquarters is located east of the track at Enterprise Boulevard and Aviva Way in the Downtown Markham core.
