Hunter-Reay, Newgarden Form Team USA for Race of Champions

Ryan Hunter-Reay and Josef Newgarden, the two most recent American champions of the IndyCar Series, will be flying the U.S. flag later this month at the Race Of Champions in Mexico City.

The driving duo was named Friday by the all-star event’s officials to form Team USA for the two-day competition Jan. 19-20 at the Foro Sol, the amphitheater that forms part of the Formula One road course at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Cooper Tires introduces rallycross to the Midwest

Americas Rallycross (ARX) will be supported by the biggest rallycross tire supplier in the world as ARX and ARX2 makes its first visits to the Midwest in 2019.

The Cooper Tires ARX of Mid-Ohio will be held twice in 2019, on June 8-9 and October 5-6, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, where Cooper Tires has been the official tire since 2016.

Steve Arpin is Ready for the Midwest

Rallycross fan favorite Steve Arpin, is excited by the new Mid-Ohio addition to the 2019 ARX schedule. ARX’s first Midwestern events will take place on June 8-9 and October 5-6 next season.

Canadian star Arpin raced a Ford Focus RS RX in the inaugural ARX season as teammate to Gymkhana legend Ken Block in the Loenbro Hoonigan team. Arpin finished on the podium in the final round at the Circuit of The Americas and is enjoying the expansion of the sport in the US.

ARX Signs Multi-Year Agreement to Compete at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 6, 2018) – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will join the Americas Rallycross (ARX) Championship calendar for the 2019 season. The Cooper Tires ARX of Mid-Ohio will mark the first-ever Midwestern events for ARX as well as Mid-Ohio’s first rallycross events, June 8-9 and October 5-6 next year.

The ARX Championship comes to the Midwest for the first time, June 8-9, then returns for a second weekend, October 5-6. The ARX and ARX2 events will be held on a temporary 0.7-mile, 10-turn asphalt and dirt configuration with a jump constructed near the “Keyhole” section of Mid-Ohio.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (December 6, 2018) – The 58th season of racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will feature its largest and most diverse spectator schedule in 2019. Eight event weekends are slated for the 330-acre permanent facility in Lexington, Ohio, which will extend into fall next season.
