ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Feb. 21, 2025) - In honor of the late Dan Wheldon’s victory in the inaugural Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding race on April 3, 2005, Susie Wheldon (Dan’s wife) and Sebastian Wheldon (Dan and Susie’s son) have accepted invitations to take part in ceremonial pre-race roles for the 2025 race. Oliver Wheldon, Dan and Susie’s younger son, will also join them on race day.

Track and facility improvements completed at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
LEXINGTON, Ohio (Dec. 19, 2024) - Investment continues in the future of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course both on- and off-track. The owner and operator of the facility, Green Savoree Racing Promotions, announced today that all phases of a series of improvements have now been completed. Highlights include the repaving of a major portion of the interior roads, an extensive update around Turn 4 including modifications to the runoff area, and the replacement of safety barriers and fencing in three areas of the track.

Public ticket sales start on Dec. 13
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2024) - The exclusive renewal period begins Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. ET for the 2025 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding. Fans who purchased 3-Day Grandstand tickets to the 2024 race weekend are eligible and will have until Monday, Dec. 9 to renew their seats for the 2025 event. General public ticket sales will begin on Friday, Dec. 13.
