2020 Honda Indy Toronto Official Statement

Following the City of Toronto’s decision to cancel major festivals and events by not issuing permits through August 31 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, INDYCAR announced today that the Honda Indy Toronto has been removed from the Series’ 2020 schedule. The event was originally scheduled to take place July 10-12 at Exhibition Place.

2020 Honda Indy Toronto Update

The Honda Indy Toronto will not be held on the originally scheduled date of July 10-12, 2020 at Exhibition Place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In anticipation of the municipal guidelines announced today for holding events, preparations and discussions have been ongoing with the City of Toronto, Exhibition Place, Honda Canada and INDYCAR to explore alternate date options for 2020.

Firestone Grand Prix Of St Petersburg Is Rescheduled For October 23-25, 2020

Event Will Serve as the 2020 INDYCAR Finale

ST PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 13, 2020) – The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg has been rescheduled to October 23-25, 2020, officials from the City of St. Petersburg, Green Savoree St. Petersburg, LLC (GSSP) and INDYCAR confirmed today. The event will now feature the crowning of the 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion on Sunday, Oct. 25 since the original March 13th-15th weekend was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
